IOR stands for Industry Optic Romania, a decades old optics manufacturer located in Bucharest. First brought to our shores about 15 years ago by Valentin Leatu, an ex-Romanian Alpine Special Forces soldier and owner of Valdada Enterprises, these line of scopes are well known among the long range and precision shooting crowd, but  aren't a real household name, yet!

IOR scopes are characterized by absolutely top-notch optics combined with innovative and functional reticles.  Most famous of these is the MP-8, a milliradian based rangefinding and precision target reticle that has undergone considerable refinement the last few years. The adjustment knobs offer precise tactical and audible clicks, and come in both capped and (soon) exposed knobs.  The whole package is wrapped in rugged alloy tubes in 30mm and 35mm (rings included) diameters, and offered at a fair price.

IOR offers many options in scopes, target engagement ranging from Close Quarters Battle to ultra-long range precision.  All 35mm tube diameter scopes come with free steel or alloy rings in your choice of low (1/4"), medium (1/2"), or high (3/4") heights (measured from the top of the base or rail to the bottom of the scope tube.  IOR 30mm rings also available.

 IOR Valdada MP-8 Dot Reticle

IOR - Valdada MP-8 Dot Reticle

The MP-8 Tactical reticle is based on the mil-dot system. In addition to the 1 mil marks, it offers 1/2 mil, 5 mil and 10 mil marks for improved rangefinding and aiming precision. The 5 mils added to the vertical stadia offer holdover capabilities unparalleled by other designs. The 5 mil and 10 mil marks speed initial measurements and target acquisition, and the elimination of the thick post at the bottom of the reticle facilitates a clear, unobstructed view of the target for enhanced tracking capabilities. The reticle's heavy top and side bars are 1 mil thick, and its fine lines are 0.1 mil thick.
